Does the Lower Cape Cod CDC own affordable rental property?

The Lower Cape Cod Community Development Corporation owns and manages affordable rental-housing units on the lower cape in Harwich, Eastham, Wellfleet and Provincetown. Additional rental units are being developed within the Lower Cape. Notices of availability are sent to individuals and families who have requested to be on the mailing list as well as to other lower cape agencies.

Who is eligible to apply for affordable rental-housing units?

In accordance with Federal, State and/or local funding guidelines, certain income and residency criteria apply. Preference may be given to applicants who meet the Federal Priorities. The current Federal priorities are:

* Involuntarily displaced * Living in substandard housing * Rent burdened

Family income is limited to below 80% of the Area Median Income and family size must be suitable for the particular available unit. In addition, complete applications from families who reside, work or have ties to the local community may be given first consideration.

The Lower Cape Cod CDC does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religious creed, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, children, ancestry, marital status, veteran history, public assistance recipiency or disability.
