Artist ProgramsBusiness and marketing skills for emerging artists New Markets for ArtistsNew Markets for Artists is an intensive marketing workshop aimed at teaching artists how to gain more year-round exposure for their work and increase their ability to make a living as a working artist. Created by the Lower Cape CDC, in partnership with The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod (AFCC), New Markets for Artists provides artists with the tools and training to better market their work both on and off Cape, implement business planning, and create entrepreneurial models that work for artists. Learn more. New Markets for Artists “Alumni” ProgramsSince it’s inception, the Lower Cape CDC has served over 65 artists through our New Markets for Artists program. Program alumni have responded enthusiastically to the sessions and have expressed interest in continuing to work together. In response to this interest, we will soon begin offering programming specifically designed for the Alumni of the New Markets for Artists program. Program ideas include networking events, roundtable discussions, and mentorship opportunities. Artist Education SeriesThe Lower Cape CDC offers a variety of workshops and seminars to assist artists in their personal and professional development. Our workshops are conducted throughout the year and include topics such as Creating a Pres Kit, Developing a Website, Grant Writing for Artists, and Performing at Your Peak.
