Fundraising Special EventsThe CDC actively participates in several fundraising events throughout the year. We encourage our members to support our participation in these events by volunteering in their planning and promotion, and by attending the events whenever possible. Check out our Events Calendar for details on all upcoming events. Housing With Love WalkFounded by organizer Bob Murray of HECH, each July this annual 108-mile, 7 day walk raises money to help families from becoming homeless, prevent homes from being foreclosed on, help families access housing, and help the disabled find decent, safe and affordable housing. The Lower Cape CDC is one of ten non-profit housing agencies that participate in the walk. CDC staff members and supporters walk a portion of the event and raise pledges in support of our organization’s housing programs. Wine TastingThis event takes place at a lovely private home every June. Local caterers and restaurants donate delicious appetizers that are paired with carefully chosen wines.
