Annual Meeting & Report
2008 Annual CDP Meeting“Community Partnerships” was the theme for this year’s Annual Meeting. The Lower Cape Cod Community Development Corporation (CDC) formally unveiled its new name “Community Development Partnership (CDP)” and logo while acknowledging the many partnerships it has forged in the Lower Cape community. These partnerships have allowed the CDP to offer a variety of programs to the community, all with a small number of staff. Keynote Speaker Edward Fouhy shared his thoughts on the upcoming Presidential election, and MACDC Director of Membership Initiatives, Shirronda Almeida, presented outgoing CDP Board President Ernie Rogers with MACDC’s new Community Leadership Award. The Gwen Pelletier Award for Excellence in Service to the Lower Cape Cod Community was presented by Gwen Pelletier to Chris Austin, Program Director at the Homeless Prevention Council (formerly the Interfaith Council for the Homeless). New CDP Officers were announced as follows: Steve Roderick, Board President, Florence Seldin, Vice President, Eileen Brady, Treasurer and Martha Hevenor, Clerk. The meeting welcomed new Board Member Kathy Morris of Seamen’s Bank, and bid farewell to Board Members Ken Brock, Judy Beardsley, Rick Fleury and Peter Rice.
